Upcoming Bible Studies
Bible Study on the book of Romans
Join us as we explore the climax of the gospel in
Romans, chapters 6-11. The Church shares in
human suffering. Paul shows that God doesn’t
stand apart from the pain we experience, and
see in the world. Instead, God has entered it
through Jesus and dwells in the middle of it by
the Spirit. In this interactive study, written by
N.T. Wright, we’ll discover how to live as God’s
children in a wounded world, and find that
God’s deep love is still at work today.
Identical studies will be held on Wednesdays at
10:00 AM and Thursdays at 7:00 PM. The six studies
start January 30/31 and conclude March 6/7. We’ll need a minimum
number of people to run these, so please sign up in the church foyer, or by
contacting the office at 250-758-2676.

Soul Keeping
In Soul Keeping, author and pastor John Ortberg helps Christians rediscover their soul – the best connection to god there is – and find out why it’s hurting, and why
neglecting it has set so many believers back spiritually.
In this video based, small-group Bible study, John Ortberg takes us on an exploration of the soul from the perspective of someone who has struggled
to understand and care for his own soul. Ortberg highlights his relationship
with Dallas Willard, a “professor of the soul,” and what he learned from this
wise guide the midst of his own struggles and hardships. Identical studies
will be held on Wednesdays at 10:00 AM and Thursdays at 7:00 PM. The six
sessions will start March 13/14 and conclude April 17/18. Again, we’ll need a minimum number of people to run these, so please sign up in the church foyer, or by contacting the office at 250-758-2676.
